I wasn't asking you, I was warning you that I have something to ask. Mostly because it's actually a bit stupid, but.

The whole talking to animals thing.

Can you do it with insects too or is it strictly like mammals or marsupials or whatever the fancy word for fish is?

1/idk yet

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-17 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
I have bees.
unsense: (040)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-17 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
Not in the way that someone might say ' I have ants'.

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-17 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
But I've got a hive that I collect from every now and then.

[ Because he's a grade A weirdo apparently. ]
unsense: (066)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-17 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
And I realize I'm coming into their space when I come to collect, but it would be really nice

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-17 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
If they would STOP STINGING ME, Jesus Christ.
unsense: (044)

done

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-17 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
And then I thought, "Illya".

1/2

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-17 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
First, you're the best. Second, what could I possibly do for a bunch of bees? Listen, you tell them I'm their new queen or bee lord or whatever it takes to stop them stinging me and I'll plant them some flowers, yeah?
unsense: (057)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-17 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
And it's the wax I want, not the honey. They can keep that, because I am a kind and generous bee ruler.

1/2

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sensing a little bit of judgement.
unsense: (001)

2/3

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
I was practicing my princess wave for when I became the new queen. How can you take that away from me?
unsense: (055)

3/3

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Wait, on second thought, maybe your idea is better. They follow the queen everywhere, don't they?
unsense: (036)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Right, yeah. Do your thing, Dolittle.
unsense: (057)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[ Illya you depraved creature. ]

Nothing.
Tomorrow and the day after aren't good for me, but literally any time after is fine.
unsense: (054)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Hang on, you can't just alter the agreement like that.
unsense: (055)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Am I going to regret asking you what you want it for?
unsense: (007)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. How much do you need?
unsense: (060)

[personal profile] unsense 2016-03-18 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Illya Alexander you are a thief.

I'll settle on half so long as I get a bit of giveback.
unsense: (003)

girl you good

[ Liars and thieves and all manners of criminals lock their doors, that's who, and Magdy is all three. Maybe not so much a thief unless you count conning people out of their money in exchange for faked famous paintings to be "thievery", in which case, he is also that. He tends to leave all the stealing to Elliot, anyway.

It takes Magdy a few seconds to realize that the sound of knocking is not actually part of the baseline of whatever garbage music he happens to be playing throughout his place today at what is probably too loud of a volume. He pauses in the middle of wrapping a mid-sized painting up in paper, remembers that Illya's supposed to be stopping by today (an actual time frame would have been useful, but he also didn't ask), and then props the painting up against a wall before moving to open the door. He turns his music down on the way and loops his hand through the roll of masking tape he'd been holding onto so it hangs from his wrist.

For once, he's not covered in paint when he opens the door. ]

Illyaaa. Howzit, mate? [ Magdy looks him over once and adjusts his glasses before stepping aside and holding the door open wider, smiling a bit. ] Come in, then.
